I am a Livingston Alumni. I attended 1st Grade through 12th Grade in Livingston ISD. Upon my high school graduation, I attended Stephen F. Austin University where I graduated with my teaching certification.
Through college at SFASU, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.
Throughout my teaching experience I have attended many educational development classes. To name a few conferences that I’ve attended:
-Incorporating Technology/Chromebooks in curriculum
I started teaching at Cedar Grove Elementary in the fall of 2016. Prior to my time at CGE, I also taught at TCE for 6 years. I enjoy teaching my 3rd Graders about Math and Science.
I started my teaching career in the fall of 2006 at Timber Creek Elementary. I taught 1st grade, 2nd grade, and now 3rd grade. I’ve finally found my favorite grade to teach!
My husband, Gary Don, and I have been married almost 14 years. We are both Livingston Natives, born and raised. We have 3 sons, who also attending all grades through LISD, a 6 year old daughter in First Grade at CGE, a Daughter-n-Law who is also a LISD teacher, and a 2 year old grandson. We certainly love our hometown!
In my personal time, I enjoy being around family and friends. Our get away spot is at the deer camp, as much as we can, but mostly stay busy with our daughter’s after school schedule and her favorite pets, Cooper the dog, Figaro the cat, and her new loves, Cupcake & Frosting the hamsters. She’s an animal lover!
