I am proud to call Livingston my home. I attended 1st-12th grades here in LISD.
Upon my high school graduation I attended Stephen F. Austin State University, where I later received my Bachelor’s in Education with a degree in Elementary Education.
Throughout my teaching experience I have attended many educational development classes. To name a few conferences that I’ve attended:
-Incorporating Technology/Chromebooks in curriculum
I began teaching 3rd grade at CGE the fall of 2016.
Currently I am teaching 3rd grade Math and Science.
I started my teaching career in the fall of 2006 at Timber Creek Elementary. I taught 1st grade, 2nd grade, and now 3rd grade. I’ve finally found my favorite grade to teach!
My husband, Gary Don, and I have been married almost 15 years. We are both Livingston Natives, born and raised. We have 3 sons, who also attended all grades through LISD, a 7 year old daughter who is in the 2nd Grade here at CGE, a Daughter-n-Law who is an LISD teacher, and a 3 year old grandson. We certainly love our hometown!
In my personal time, I enjoy being around family and friends. Our get away spot is at the deer camp, but we stay busy with our daughter’s after school schedule and her favorite pets: Cooper the dog, Figaro the cat, and her little loves, Cupcake & Frosting the hamsters. She’s now begging for chickens. She’s an animal lover!
